Why Temu has so much traffic on the website from United States

By the end of 2022, Temu, a brand-new online retail platform, had amassed more downloads than Amazon.

According to the company’s official website, the online market place, which debuted last year, links customers with “millions of sellers, manufacturers, and brands” globally. PDD Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: PDD), which also manages Pinduoduo, a Chinese agriculture company, founded it in Boston, Massachusetts.

According to CNN, Temu saw an increase in downloads at the end of the year. According to Abe Yousef, a senior insights analyst at the analytics company Sensor Tower, Temu’s app installations surpassed those of Amazon, Walmart, and Target in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Additionally, Sensor Tower reported that since the app’s launch in September 2022, it has been downloaded more than 24 million times and has more than 11 million active users each month.

The Temu platform is “committed to offering the most affordable quality products to enable consumers and sellers to fulfill their dreams in an inclusive environment,” according to the company’s official website. The business, whose name is pronounced “tee-moo,” also hopes to connect brands from around the world. The phrase Temu means: Team Up, Price Down in more precise terms.

The “vast and deep network of merchants, logistic partners” of PDD Holdings was crucial in the establishment of the business. PDD Holdings has also seen significant business success, having “generated US$14.7 billion in revenue, US$2.2 billion in net income, and US$4.6 billion in net cash from operating activities” in only 2021.

Temu has more than 10,000 employees worldwide and processes more than 61 billion orders annually. On their website, the company stated that they have “the ability to source the best products globally” and “experience in managing complex logistical supply chains” as two of their primary advantages.
